AP Poll 1. USC 2. Auburn 3. OU 4. California 5. Utah 6. Texas 7. Louisville 8. Georgia 9. Miami 10. Boise St. 11. Iowa 12. Va. Tech 13. Michigan 14. LSU 15. Tennessee Coaches poll the exact same, except swap Utah/Texas and Louisville/Georgia Now here is the poll had LSU wiped out both Troy and Ole Miss like they should have: Coaches Poll 1. USC 2. Auburn 3. OU 4. California 5. Utah 6. Texas 7. Georgia 8. LSU 9. Louisville 10. Miami 11. Boise St. 12. Iowa 13. Va. Tech 14. Michigan 15. Tennessee AP would have Louisville 7, Georgia 8 and LSU 9 Note: I use Louisville as my guideline, as LSU was just ahead of Louisville in the Coaches poll (7 points), and behind them in the AP (by about 100 points). Those of you that think LSU should be #10/#11 tomorrow, you are sadly mistaken. LSU will get kicked in the ass in the polls, and rightly so.
I have trouble understanding how you can "predict" what the coaches (who look at scores not games) and backwards ass media will do with us... We win we go up at least one, but probly more than that
LSU was a near 21 point favorite at home. They won by 3. They penalized us for OSU and Troy and will do the same thing here. If you don't think that Iowa and Va. Tech, with their EXTREMELY impressive wins won't jump us, then you are not being realistic. The only thing I am not sure of if how far Michigan drops. LSU may squeak out a #13, but I doubt it. Michigan lost a rivalry game on the road. Not as bad a loss as it seems. Not trying to be negative, just realistic. Just wanna prepare all the LSU fans out there for what could be a shock to them.
well...I will be shocked if LSU does not get 1-2 spots in the coach's poll. Michigan and Wisconsin will drop for sure behind us, and I am guessing Florida State will as well. Iowa will most likely leap frog us though. keep in mind Ole Miss is a rivalry game that is traditionally close every year. the coaches do not see the games, as you said, but I do not see them leaving us at 14.......no way.
They don't see the game but they know that we are a 21 point favorite. That can't be ignored. And at home. I could understand more if this was a road game.
if the coaches are looking at how teams fared against the spread before they vote the system is truly corupt beyond all imagination. point spreads should mean nothing, and I repeat nothing, when voting for the coach's poll.
So if you're a coach and you don't see any of these games, what the hell are you using as a measuring stick?
which is exactly why the system is so wrong... their are actually coaches 10 that dont have USC, OU, or AU in the top three at all....
