Offense QB-RP HB-K.Williams HB-C. Scott FB-? WR-B. Lafell-I think he excels next year WR- D. Byrd WR-T.Toliver WR-Benton or C.Tolliver LT-C.Black LG-H.Johnson C-? RG-? RT-Joe Barkdale- I assume Defense LE-? DT-Favorite DT-Nevis or Woods DE-Jackson MLB-Beckwith LB-Sheppard LB-? CB-Eugene CB-Hawkins, Williams, or P.Johnson SS-Chad Jones or Harry Coleman FS-Curtis Taylor and a host of backups KR-Holiday, Murphy, K.Williams I need a lil help with this one on both sides of the ball. However, the talent is deep and we should be consider a strong contender for the :crystal:
Here you go...assuming a one-back, 3 WR set: QB - Perrilloux TB- K. Williams WR - Lafell, Byrd, Tolliver TE - Dickson LT - Black LG - H. Johnson C - Helms RG - Hitt RT - Barksdale DE - T. Jackson DT - C. Alexander DT - A. Woods DE - R.J. Francois WLB - Perry Riley MLB - Beckwith SLB - Jacob Cutrera CB - Jai Eugene CB - Chris Hawkins SS - Chad Jones FS - C. Taylor
Offense QB-Perrilloux, Lee RB-K.Williams, Scott, Murphy, Holliday FB-Ridley WR-Lafell, J.Mitchell WR-Byrd WR-T.Tolliver, Benton, Holliday LT-Black LG-Johnson C-Helms RG-Hitt, Jones RT-Barksdale TE-Dickson, Lott Defense RE-R.J.Francois, Pittman RT-Alexander, Favorite, Nevis LT-Woods, Aubrey LE-Jackson, T.Johnson, Alem MLB-Beckwith, Cutrera SLB-Riley, Clemons WLB-Sheppard, Foyil CB-Eugene, J.Williams CB-P.Johnson, Hawkins SS-C.Jones, Coleman, McCray FS-C.Taylor, S.Francois Special Teams KR-Holliday, Murphy, J.Williams PR-C.Jones K-David, Crutchfield P-Crutchfield Notes: this will be one of the most experienced O-lines in the history of LSU and the best one ever fielded. The defensive line will not miss a beat with an NFL-aspiring Jackson rebounding and a Dorsey-like beast in R.J.Francois. Perrilloux is an upgrade at the QB position, Murphy's ascension will take up for the loss of Hester. This receiving corps is unreal. Holliday is still impossible to script for defensively. Dickson will be featured even more in Gary Crowton's magnanimous offense. Defensively, Chad Jones has a higher upside than his predecessor Steltz, and may be better even as a true sophomore. Patrick Johnson will be an impact player as a true freshman. Jai Eugene will be a steady Zenon-like defender. Beckwith will lead a very steady linebacking corps and earn All-American honors. An 11-1 LSU team will face an 11-1 Florida team in the SEC CG and win, avenging LSU's only loss of the season. LSU will go on to dominate in the BCS title game claiming back to back championships.
I penciled in Jared, I think he will step it up and contribute to some degree next season (possession receiver like Doucet).
I agree it's hard to say right now, but he would have to lose out to both Patrick Johnson and another corner in order to downgrade that far. obviously the fact he has been the first sub we go to indicates he is next in line at this point.....we'll see who turns up the heat in the offseason....a good little friendly competition doesn't hurt anyone
Well, that is because we had people redhirting too. Phelon Jones will beat him out. Take it to the bank. I do think our DB's will be rotating a lot for most of the season anyways until they establish themselves.
don't forget mccray at nickel or perhaps P. jones. (but jones may be a more natural corner) not sure.
he seems a tad bit short to me. I tend to like Sec corners b/t 6ft and 6'2, its hard to defend at corner at 5'10 or smaller unless you have just unbelievable cover skills.
