If LSU baseball wins the title, would he be the only player to win 2 national titles in the same year in LSU history?

and no, indoor and outdoor track doesn't count.

On Sunday Chris Landry of The Daily Iberian had an article on that. I wouldn’t call it proof, but it doesn’t seem to have happened recently. Article: Two titles, two sports would be LSU first

Didn't men's outdoor track win in 04? In that case Bennie Brazell would have won 2 national titles in 2 sports in the same year.

i think it depends how the trivia gods define "the same year". was the first bcs nc in 03 or 04? i say 03, so bennie has 3 track titles and one fball title in the same year.

I would say the year should start in the Fall with fall sports and go all the way through summer sports. That would make sense.

I agree. Academic year, rather than calendar.
