I really do not like the new LSU emblem, do you think that the school will ever go back to the ldskule: or the :tigerhead emblem... I would prefer ldskule: , do they still sell any items with this emblem on them ?
I don't know, but I'm not a huge fan of the "new" emblem. I too prefer the :tigerhead or even the ldskule: I just hope that the logo on the sides of the football helmets NEVER changes!!! He looks mean! I would HATE to see what a helmet with the current "new" tiger head would look like (probably look like the tiger's begging for a ball of yarn).
I dont see the helmet ever changing, but why on earth did we change the emblem for TV and for Tshirt etc... I still like the classic ldskule: and would love to have a shirt with it on there. I saw one from the 70's and wanted to steal it. Ive even ebayed constantly looking for one but to no avail.
I know I'm in the minority but I like the new logo. The "tiger head" oldskule: ) is very similar to other schools. I like things that are original - perhaps this is why I like the new logo. Also (don't flame please - lol) I think we need new helmets - ours belong in the 70's. Saying all this, I will always support LSU wholeheartedly! Logos are the least of my worries.
The ldskule: was lame, we need to look modern to draw in some of these superficial 'super kids'. The :tigerhead is good, I'm all for a new modern looking design for the whole program. You can always buy the 'old school' stuff - hey it's extra money for the Univ. The helmet logo is ok - above average, but I would not be sad at all to see it go. I like the way the new Atlanta Falcon looks - the old one was good too, and I like their throwbacks, but it and the uniform brought the team into the new century (a century where recruits pay attention to trifle stuff like that). Something similar for our helmets/uni's would not be bad. ps: Am I the only one who liked the neon yellow unis we wore in the Indy bowl a few years ago? Those made you puke, but they also made you pay attention - I liked them as a change of pace.
I dont agree, I think the helmet should stay the same and we should rotate whites/ purple jersey for home and away... havent seen the white helmets that I hear soooo much about but I like history and tradition. I just think that our TV/ Apparel design should be a throwback to ldskule: . All of my friends love the ldskule: .
