1. What will the format be this year? Will it be like last year's or traditional? Sports.net says scrimmage, so it will be like old days, right?
  2. Miles is probably witholding that information.
  3. It's an open scrimmage that is free admission for the public. I don't think it will be a game like old days.
  4. It is supposed to be more of a scrimmage, but I don't know if it will be an actual game. I doubt it will be quite as informative to fans as Saban's spring games. I think Skip realized nobody would be willing to show up if they were going to charge (even though they've since made it free due to the final 4) to watch a practice, so he put pressure on Miles to make it a scrimmage.

I will be out of town and unable to make it though.
  5. probably a total of 60-70 plays from the line of scrimmage, mostly scripted imo.....
  6. I'm going to be honest. That sucks. I liked the spring games the way they were before. I don't remember the last time we didn't make it down for one. I don't know if it's worth driving down for an hour and half scripted practice. It just isn't the same.

Someone tell me why they wouldn't want an actual game like always. Is there some strategic reason here that I'm missing? Is it the fear of injuries? Not wanting to give away any strengths or weakness?

The spring game used to be something we looked forward too. It would be the official start of the countdown for my family and I. It gave us a glimpse of what was to come and it was entertaining.
  7. I agree with you salty. We were bored last year during te spring game. If ya'll had not been there for the added conversation, we would have left.
  8. According to Miles, Saturday's 1 p.m. scrimmage at Tiger Stadium will consist of 45 live snaps each between the first and second unit offenses and defenses. The plan is for far fewer snaps for the third teams.

All of the plays will be scripted.
  9. So... BORING...

    No Tiger Band either... FWI...

And it's not free..... From lsusports.net

  10. They went ahead and made it free. I don't know why they haven't updated that message. But, it is free. Unfortunately, I don't believe many people will show up this year.
