On your spring roster, there is a designation under a player's experience that reads "SQ". Perrilloux, for example, is SQ.
What does SQ stand for... is it practice squad... or what?

    Thanks!!!
  2. I think it basically means that they haven't earned a varsity letter yet. For the longest time, I thought it meant that the person was a walk on. We all know that is not the case with Perriloux.
  3. Superior Quality !
  4. There ya go...
On our roster, I was thinking...
    Still Questionable
    Should Quit
    Small Quads
  5. I would assume that the SQ stands for squad, but don't quote me on that.
  6. Experince is usually listed as :

    HS - high school experience
Sq - experience on the Tiger squad (not enough PT to letter, anybody who redshirts)
1VL - One varsity letter (and so forth)
  7. We get an RS for redshirt, think you do too.
  8. Traditionally, there are Lettermen, and there are Squadmen (Those who are team members who did not letter). I personnally hate to use this reference, but USC uses the term to this date.

I remember getting a squadmen certificate at the athletics banquet during my freshman hear of HS. I managed to letter after that.
