Me and my wife have never attended an LSU game. We plan on getting there about three hours before the game, is there any certain area at the stadium we should go? We want to experience all the festivities before the game...just need some insiders scoop........:geauxtige

We tailgate by the Union. I think you would have a better experience if you get there earlier than 3 hours! Bring your favorite beverage, chairs and just sit back and enjoy!

You should get there as early as possible. The game is 1:30 PM CST and you will have trouble parking if you get there any later than around 9:00 AM.

You should get there more than 3 hours before game time. There is a place called the Chimes(restaurant and sports bar atmosphere) that is right on campus (actully right off campus) but within walking distance to stadium. Good place to start. Then, basically head towards the stadium and check out all the sights. Just about everywhere you look you will see tailgating. Otherwise, have a great time.

Agree about getting there earlier. You could also go to Walkons, another bar on the other side of campus from Chimes. Just kind of depends on were you park. You have to watch the band come down the hill to the stadium. This will happen about a 1.5 hrs prior to the game.

Don't miss the Tiger Band march to the stadium about an hour before kickoff. Hang out near Mike's cage or somewhere near the PMAC.

The area NCTiger is referring to is usally bustling with activity. There is going to be a free concert by Cowboy Mouth starting @ 10A.M. I think they call it Tiger One Village and it is the area between the PMAC and Tiger Stadium. Be sure to walk around and take in some sights as well. There's always some tailgate parties that are happy to oblige with food and a cold one.

i hope you mean three hours before the day of the game - i.e., 9:00 Thursday night!

Seriously, be sure to be in the stadium in time to see the Golden Band From Tigerland perform! It's spine-tingling!

The team usually comes down the "hill" about 3 hours before game time. The band follows about an hour after that. You defianalty want to experience the "Golden Band From Tiger Land." For the band you want to be in front of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center or directly across from Gate 8 of Tiger Stadium to get the full effect.
