Sort of sounds like Leinhart's crying after the NC loss to Texas. "I'm still the best, I don't care how it played out on the field." Mr. Quinn, please put down the crack pipe, back away slowly and no one gets hurt . . . http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-nflcombine&prov=ap&type=lgns :geauxtige
Skip Bayless and some other guy were saying that Quinn was the one QB that had to carry his team on his shoulders, unlike JR. That girl from Cold Pizza shut them both up and said "well he actually didnt carry the team b/c he didnt get the job done". I was so proud when they both had nothing to say after that.:hihi:
Weis is known as a great QB coach, and it stands to reason that he would have gotten more attention than the other players (QBs included) on the team.
When you're good, you don't have to go around telling everyone. If Quinn was that confident, he wouldn't be blowing his horn. In his humility, JR seems to be more confident. Not that Quinn's not a good qb but most of his status is from people blowing his horn......JR's hype is from blowing out Quinn's team. JR has earned his.
Not exactly like Leinart. Matt got caught in an emotional moment after having lost the NC in a very close game. Lady Quinn never played for a NC, never won a bowl game, never beat SC, and will slide in the draft faster than a piece of chocolate on a hot windshield. I'm curious where the supposed quote came from and if you can provide a source. I was pretty inconsolable myself after the game but I think Matt's comment was more of a 'we' than an 'I'. In defense of Lady, he is interviewing for a job. Most people talk themselves up to prospective employers. He's hurt his chances however by choosing not to workout. JR isn't working out either but I don't think that will effect his draft status in the least.
Not a quote and I should have made that clear. That was my paraphrasse of what Quinn was saying in the article. No, I don't buy that. I'm in the middle of the interview process myself right now (hence the change in my location) and I can't imagine I'd walk into an interview and say "I'm the best attorney in the country no matter what my [grades, record, experience, whatever] says." Which is essentially what Quinn is saying. IMO, the wiser choice, and what JR and I both seem to be doing :hihi: , is to say to those who are interested in us "I'm a perfect fit for your organization and if you look at my [grades, record, experience, whatever] you'll see that I'm right."
His comments were inappropriate and yet understandable IMO. He did man up by the way by going to the texas locker room immediately after that to personally congratulate Mack Brown and their entire team. And after VY's obnoxious showboating on the NC stand after the game I also wished many viscious hits on him. Now if he'd just slow down some, my dream might come true.

It doesn't suggest deception, just confidence, style, or a state of mind. Some companies and employers look for that in employees. In a competitive job market, it is sometimes the ones who stand out by word and deed who get the nod. I think your style is perfect for you and I hope you get your dream job. Best of luck. :thumb:
