I think those were people who bought an LSU shirt at the SHV Walmart...................they wouldn't even know what exit to take to get to LSU. As for Alabama and the rest of the SEC, when Bowl time gets here, I just change hats for every game and SUPPORT any SEC team PLAYING ANYONE ELSE!!!! Not sure why this is such a foreign concept to some. :911:
I agree. I liked 6-6 better than 6-7. I saw some LSU fans at BD this year at the LA Monroe game and they carried on the same way.
WTF was that all about? But anyway, about the "fans" in North LA. As I've said many, many, many times before, I don't even consider these "people" part of LA. They hold more in common with Mississippi and Alabama and East Texas and Arkansas, etc. Mostly just white trash posing as LSU fans. Most have probably never been to an LSU game or could even find the campus. Broad stereotypes, I know, but in a lot of cases, absolutely true. There are some exceptions, but majority rules unfortantely.
Exceptions like me, who are from Shreveport and went to LSU, who has parents who bleed purple and gold, and who knows plenty of other die hard LSU fans -- oh, I'm sorry, "people" -- and alums who are from North Louisiana. Jackass.
I don't think the "people" in this situation EVER attended LSU, nor do they SUPPORT the school (would not know how to write a check or volunteer). Those like yourself, are not the problem. I have posted on other threads the fact I attended close to 50 games in a row while supporting my son, a former TCU FB player. We saw all kinds of fans in all kinds of stadiums. As a longtime member of LSU Salutes I am invited back to that celebration every year in BR. The last time back, I saw the same kind of people decribed by the poster that started this thread...............they embarassed myself, my wife, and the other REAL LSU fans all around us.................the behavior is nothing to be "proud" of nor should someone that brings it up get "slammed" for pointing it out. :911:
Just wondering why in the world an LSU fan would bother going to Bryant-Denny to watch LaTech and Bama, and why they would go to the I-bowl to watch two teams playing to see which one can come out of there with a winning record. I know people that buy Ohio St. apparell, but that only indicates that they go with whoever's hot. They wouldn't even know what city Ohio St. plays in. Just because they have a shirt on, it doesn't connect them to true Tiger fans. As an LSU fan, the only way I would set foot in BD is if I was there to watch LSU-Bama. (or Curtis beat Hoover)
