This offense wasn't even close to being as boring and as painful to watch as the offense in 2009 and 2010. 7 Touchdowns by Jordan Jefferson on the season the year we went to the Cotton Bowl to play A&M and he ended up throwing 4 that day. So I don't buy the whole it's the offense that kept us out of bowls, did you guys forget the 2009 and 2010?
Right. This is as exciting as we get. Not sure what y'all are thinking about us being boring. For us, les was wide open.
Was not implying ALL bowls but when you look at the Cotton Bowl taking A&M over LSU, to me it is a no-brainer. Be thankful it did not come down to a BCS bowl with LSU outside of the top 4 because I think the same result with anyone of the BCS bowls would have happened. You are right, LSU offense has been like taking a sleeping pill for several years.
In the past 24 hours, I've read that it's Slive's fault, Alleva's fault, Johnny TD's fault, my fault, you name it, it's somebody's fault. Let face it. We redefined winning ugly. I don't have a problem with the Chicken Nugget bowl. If you aren't playing in the Big One, what difference does it make?
The one I really don't get is why the Outback Bowl would pass us over. 1. Head to head, LSU beat South Carolina, and is rated higher in every poll. 2. Recent appearances, South Carolina there in 2009, LSU hasn't been there since 1989. 3. History! Throwing away the chance for a first-time matchup with LSU and Michigan, not to mention the Les Miles/UM tie-in. How could they possibly prefer SC?
I don't know the answer to that, but I'm sure as hell glad we're not playing Michigan. Just imagine the outcry when we didn't beat them as badly as bama did this year.
If not playing against ND for all the marbles, as a fan I'd rather play in the Las Vegas Bowl, but I'd also switch with Vandy and go to Nashville. Fuck Atlanta! Been there done that.
