3-2 overall for picks and 1-1 leans Michigan -7 over ND--having pitt play tonight was an advantage. it puts ND's big win over wannstedt into perspective. Pitt sucks because of wannstedt. As much as i think weis may be the best thing out there before too long, their big win lost a lot of luster. Pitt loses 16-10 to OHIO in OT ...both Ohio TDS off INTS. Meechigan had problems tacking a N Illinois team last week which is my worry. However, so did Saban's team due to the thud theory. RB Mike Hart is only about 5'8 or so but this dude is a talent. QB Chad Henne is the real deal even though hes a true soph who will push ND's corners to the limit...i hope. this one will be a shootout considering its the big 10 and ND but look for the home team to prevail 30-20. Minnesota -12 over Colorado State--this isnt one of sonny lubick's better squads. they are susceptible to the run as indicated by last weeks game against in-state rival Colorado Buffs. Minnesota does one thing well under glen mason and thats run. RB Laurence moreney can do just that and will do so here. golden gophers win this one 41-20. Iowa -9 Iowa State total 46--playing under the total of 46--hawks have a good offense under tate and given the fact they arent down to their 4th string RB due to injury like last year they may cover this game. however, this will be a slow paced ground it out game for the cyclones. Iowa state likely wont score much more than 10 points and the hawks will be content on winning a relatively close one. I love their LBS in abdul hodge and greenway. Hawks win but play conservatively--22-10. Northern illinois +3 over Northwestern-- yep this is the team Michigan played last week and gave them a run for their money. if not for turnovers Meechigan woulda been in trouble. I told u last week omar jacobs was the best QB (bowling green) you never heard of and he went on to pass for 500+ yards against wisconsin last week and 5 tds. he had 400+ at halftime. well this week here's the best RB you never heard of--garrett wolfe for the NI Huskies who plays big against better teams. He had almost 1700 yards last year and almost 7 ypc. NI wins this won outright on the road--30-27. Penn State -17 over Cinci--- I love teams who can run. I love to go against teams who cannot stop the run. Cinci cannot stop anyone running the ball as indicated against Eastern Michigan last week. Nittany Lions cannot pass. good thing they wont have to. they have a solid defense as well. PSU 40- Cinci-17. Mich State -28 over Hawaii--no timmy chang for the bows. No nick saban for the spartans. wont matter. I could coach this team and cover against the ineptness i saw of june jones hawaii team. Spartans cover this one by end of 3rd qtr and hang on to cover --50-17. Navy +3 @ Stanford--I love ty willingham who had a tough luck loss last week to the washington huskies. they prolly shoulda won. however, here comes the midshipmen with the wishbone against some weak linebackers. not a good mix. look for Navy to run at will and confuse this gay cali team. Navy 28-27. Vandi +11 @ Arkansas--vandi qb jay cutler was expected to have a good season last yr with the vets they had coming back. sometimes we are a year behind when predicting such things. The Hawgs replace just about everyone and double digits is tough to cover in the SEC. Cutler keeps me in this one and becomes a shootout. Hawgs 31- Dores 24. NFL picks: detroit -2 over the packers jets +3' over kc bears +6 over skins
Lines gotten from http://www.bodog.com/sports-betting/ncaa-college-football.jsp 1-0 ats, 1-0 straight up (only picked UGA over BSU, was easy money.). Now it's time to get going. Dogs: MSU +16 Over Auburn - Auburn showed last week against GT that their offense leaves much to be desired. Auburn should win this game by a touchdown or so, but no chance to cover 16 points. Tulsa +31 Over Oklahoma - Need I say more? Much the same as my first pick, OU's got about as much offense as Auburn. They should win by two to three touchdowns, and maybe even by 28, but I'll take the 31 until OU shows me differently. USC +18 over Georgia - Does anyone know when the last time Georgia beat South Carolina by more than ten points? No matter how good UGA is and how bad USC is, this is always a tight matchup. Oddsmakers need to take that into account and not look at UGA's victory over BSU so much. Vandy +10-1/2 over Arkansas - Hogs replace everyone on the team. It isn't enough to beat a senior-led Vanderbilt by 11 points. Jay Cutler might end up second or third-team All-SEC... Favorites: Cal -9 over Washington - Washington lost to Air Force (AIR FORCE) because their backup quarterback sucks. Look for more of the same this week, even vs a Cal team with an untenable quarterback situation. BGSU -28.5 over Ball State - Omar Jacobs and his Falcons narrowly lost to Wiscy in a shootout last weekend. Look for him to account for another 600+ yards of offense in another blowout. GT - 13 over UNC - Despite UNC having Barrington Edwards, that's all they have. Reggie Ball should lead Tech to victory by at least two touchdowns. Minnesota -14 over Colorado State - Despite CSU only losing to the Buffs by 3, Minnesota is a much better squad and they should certainly cover that spread with their running attack...not to plagiarize overly from Tirk.
1-1 so far. MSU couldn't manage any offense in a 28-0 loss to Auburn. OU struggles as predicted in a 31-15 victory over Tulsey. (RIP ROY D. MERCER) EDIT: 3-2 ATS, 4-1 straight up. Auburn 28 - MSU 0 (x) OU 31 - Tulsa 15 (check) Cal 56 - Washington 17 (check) GT 27, UNC 21 (x) Minn 56, CSU 24 (check)
nice 157, good work. i lost michigan, won minnesota, won the under Iowa, won N Illinois, pushed Mich St, pushed Navy and won Vandi. went 4-1-2 which is a good week for me. nfl pending.
well, bgsu didn't cover, vanderbilt beat Arkansas outright and USC only lost by 2. Auburn 28 - MSU 0 (x) OU 31 - Tulsa 15 (check) Cal 56 - Washington 17 (check) GT 27, UNC 21 (x) Minn 56, CSU 24 (check) BGSU 40, Ball State 31 (x) UGA 17, USC 15 (check) Vandy 28, Arkie 24 (check) 5-3 ats, 7-1 straight up. 6-3 and 8-1 on the season.
