With the start of the season: As a kid I listened with my mama to John Ferguson call all the Tiger games on the radio. My Dad couldn't listen long, to nervous, first bad play or call by the officials and he would leave the room, just come in and out in spurts. Studied "75 years of Tiger Football" until I had most of it memorized, quoted stats of Billy Cannon and THE TIGER FOOTBALL TEAM the 58 NCAA CHAMPS, though I wasn't even born yet. Played football with my brothers with Charles Alexander's no. 4 drawn in purple marksalot on my old T shirt. The 80's came, parents had season tickets, and even just starting on my own, I'd scronge up the money to go to a few games. Watched LSU FINALLY beat the Bear in 82, lose by 1 to Neb. in the Orange Bowl. Wondered how Broadhead could fire one of our own, then cheered on Arnsparger as he brought us to 2 Sugars. Breathed into a paper bag the night Hodson and the Tigers made the earth shake. Suffered through the last two years of Archer and 4 more of Hallman. Never moved, soaked to the skin when the Hurricanes blasted us in the hurricane Watched every play and never left when Fla. and Superior blasted us 58-3, because I knew one day my Tigers would break it off in em, and it'd be even more sweet. And, man, it was!! The night the Tigers took down no.1 Fla., couldn't stand still. Worshiped Saban as he lead us FINALLY to the Promised Land, watched the final seconds tick of in the Sugar Bowl with a lump in my throat, wishing my Dad would still be here to see the Tigers win it all. Now Nick (I'll always be a Tiger) Saban is at Bama, thanks for the title but if your not with us, your against us. Hope he goes to his death bed rueing the day he left B.R. Could go on for pages, but I'm sure eveyone here can. Go Les, I'm behind you all the way, hoping to win em all, but in the Tigers corner NO MATTER WHAT. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!
