Point blank..plain and simple.......Randall is the one. Russell is the future and he showed flashes of greatness tonight. I will be very disappointed if Saban does not start Russell for the rest of the year. Randall simply sucks.

he had an awful game tonight but I surely would never make that overall assessment of the kid. he can only get better and will likely learn from his first real game experience in quite some time.

pretend he is your kid....you'd not give up on him so early especially after seeing what he can do for you in practice. He may only need some game reps. He will be the backup at the very least so we need him to succeed if we are to have any success whether you think he 'sucks' or not.

Nice classy LSU loyal fan post. Grow up.

    Randall is the one?

I don't believe it's about "growing up". There comes a time when you must admit if a qb is the one or not. Wak up to reality, my friend. Russell came in and looked much better than Randall did even though Russell has never played on the collegiate level. It's obvious that Russell is the better talent and is also the future of LSU football. Stop living in fantasy land and wake up the fact that Randall isn't what we want him to be. Would it hurt you to admit that? I won't tell you to "grow up", but you do need to wake up.

The "ENTIRE" team was off last night. Its not all about Randall. Have you ever seen a Saban defense look as bad as they did in the first half last night? Have you ever seen an offensive line look that bad too? Running backs? It didnt look good at all...the whole way around.

I think Russell needs to get the start but Im not blaming Randall on a total team loss like this one.

never once disagreed that Russell will not be the starter yet I did state if we are to have success Randall will be our backup at the very least. So to call this kid out and say he sucks is totally classless and a slap to our coaching staff who believes in him. wake up? I am awake to pathetic bandwagon fans who need to grow up.

You nailed it. I feel the same way. Some of our shortcomings may not have surfaced as much last night against a lesser opponent. However, Oregan State came to play and they are good. Having said that, LSU always starts the season slow, epecially on offense. We have our work cut out for us. We will learn alot in two weeks. Go Tigers !

It will be a very long season!

Randall never matured two years ago with a lot of game experience & he looked just as bad, if not worse, last night. I see him struggling all year long. Russell may be the future, but he can't do it this year. Teams will key on our running game & the qp's won't be able to keep them honest. The SEC road trips could be disaster. But, as a lot of posts point out, everything was bad. Defensive backs, receivers, & kicking, just about everything was way off. It looked like the Tigers hadn't practiced since the Championship game. I can't understand how Saban & the coaching staff could go into the game so unprepared & so unable to adjust. Yea, OSU came to play & all of that & the weather didn't help, but the weather affected OSU & everyone had the Beavers as a big underdog. Go figure. I'll take the win & just hope Saban can pull off a miracle this season, but it doesn't look promising.

Yes, we have a lot to be concerned about.

Some of us thought that we would pick up right where we left off last season. To be honest, I thought that we might do that myself.

We'd be happier as fans if we just went back to thinking about ONE GAME AT A TIME.

    Geaux Tigers! Beat the Indians!!

    Everybody, Just Bear In Mind...

...that a football team usually makes it's most improvement between weeks 1 & 2. Now, next week probably won't be a very good gauge of that axiom, but I'm guessing we'll see a completely different LSU team out on the Plains on Sept. 18th.

Anyone and everyone who is still trying to hang on to Randall as QB needs to get over it. It's over. It's a done deal. Russell will be, at minimum, the next Rohan Davey (I think even better).

Randall is a good kid. He is a great team player. He will look great carrying a clipboard. Sometimes you need more than just a great heart to play in this game. I wish the kid well.
