Hey buddy, nice to see you here.(toastercrg). Didn't see where Marcus said he wants JR to start but if what Sabans says is Marcus true feelings than he probably does want to come off the bench again; heck when it works that well I would want to keep things the same too.
Good to see you over here as well toaster....not sure that is Randall's feelings also but he did perform well this pass Saturday. Looked like he played with more confidence. I had NEVER seen Randall play well against a big game opponent but he made a great sight seeing this pass weekend with a great performance. Not sure if this is what he needed but if he performs well coming off the bench, than bring him in that way. IMO, Randall is not the QB at LSU and for next season, WE have a huge issue. Per Josh Portis going to Utah and Perrilleaux probably ending up at Texas. Where do we go from here, John Hundley or Brian Babin. I have seen the Babin kid, many say he will never be good enough for the SEC, the young man has an arm. Hundley apparently is being watched closely and if he does well could wind up in LSU's arms....considering what is left on the table!
It's not a perequisite that we sign another quarterback this year. I mean I'd rather not waste a scholarship on someone who will never end up starting just to sign a quarterback.
Well i say at least try and sign one qb this year and wait till next year to really try hard to sign a few...you never know whoever isnt starting by then might transfer or something.
Hopefully we get at least one good QB this class, we cannot go 2 years in a row w/o getting a good recruit and expect it not to effect the team down the road.
Randall confirms he really would rather start Can't say i blame him but I hope we use the same formula myself. From the Advocate:
