Ok, no doubt it's a slow time... NFL draft is over. Baseball season hangs in the balance. Still wanting more hoops. Perhaps here are some items just to keep hoops in discussion. Stuff from Rivals... Rivals released their 2007-8 Preseason top 25. LSU gets no mention, although the highest ranked SEC team is Tennessee (#5), with only 'Bama (#22) and Florida (#25) getting top 25 pub. Mississippi State gets recognized as a potential, but dropped b/c their star also declared to go to the NBA. You think that LSU fans are restless... USC has gone to two NITs (won championships) and then had a 14-16 record, still Odom seems secure. This appears to be one of the deepest drafts in a while, with a lot of the "one and done" kids, as well as upperclassmen who are coming out early. I'm torn about Big Baby. It probably was a foregone conclusion that he was coming out, but he's picking a tough time to do it.
