-Michigan- How do you follow the biggest upset in college football history?? Follow it with your largest margin of defeat at home.

-Oklahoma- Unveiled a statue of Heisman QB, Jason White. He looked much different than I'd remembered.......well, maybe cause I hadn't seen him standing upright. :D

-Texas A & M –Leading 19-0 at half, the Texas faggies got took to 3 OT’s to win. We need to thank them for keeping that Texas recruiting pipeline open. :thumb:

-USC- It was a bye week for them but they managed to barely squeek out a “W” and still managed to move up one half from their previous #1 ranking.

    -Auburn sucks.

-South Carolina Spurrier has Richt’s number......or La La Lafayette is dam good..........NOT. :(

-Notre Dame- And I thought “Closet homo Claussen” was “Ready”. Did they have one possession without a penalty?? Their defense did make it hard on Penn State’s QB, though..........he had a hard time deciding which WR to throw it to cause there were two and three open on so many plays.

ND players really classless and quitters- Two ND players on one Penn State player- ripping a Penn State player’s helmet off and tag-teaming him and hitting him. They would also stopp tackling before whistle being blown on several plays. :dis:

McNeese vs. La. Lafayette will have just as much bearing on the BCS picture as Notre Dame vs. Michigan.

Oh, one last thing I happened to notice......... LSU! IS SIC.

    Any other random thoughts?

One more thing about the Jason White statue. It looked much better than he really did. The boy was NOT handsome...and I can say that because I'm a girl.

I actually thought ND D's did okay but just got worn out because the offense wasn't giving the D enough time to recover.

And, I was actually impressed with Clausen. I thought his performance was very promising, and that he had that "IT" factor to be a great QB. Clausen is a true freshman who was starting the second game of the season against a hostile crowd of over 100 thousand. He showed great poise behind a porous O line with no running game to relieve the pressure, and mostly made the right decisions.

How well do you think other true freshman QBs would have responded in a similar situation?

Clausen was injured during the off-season, and only had limited practice with the first teamers. With practice and more games, he will keep on getting better. The silver lining to that loss to GT was that an middling average performance by Jones or Sharpley would have made them the starters for the rest of the season even though they don't have the talent and skills Clausen possesses. ND isn't going anywhere this season and this is going to give Clausen vaulable experience for next season and the season after that when ND is reloaded.

In all honesty, I agree with you. I also like his confidence and don't doubt that he should be good. :thumb:

Hey, careful. A lot of posters here have already labeled you a SC lover. Before you know it, they'll accuse you of being a ND lover. :thumb:

-Not taking anything away from South Florida, but Auburn practically gave that game away with the turnovers.

-A good example of how screwed up the poll system is? Look no further than Hawaii, ranked #20, but taking OT to beat La. Tech by one point. When they run into a defense, they'll be exposed. (it's worth noting that 5 of the top 25 lost today...been the best start of a college football season in a long, long time)

-You called it with Keiland, tiga. I was very impressed with his game last night. He very well may be in Terry Grant's class. :hihi: J/K

-As impressed as I was with your win last night over Va. Tech, I wonder if their talent level was just over-blown. I'm not taking a thing away from the domination, and that word seems like the understatement of the year, but I do wonder how they'll look when they face WVU.

-Speaking of WVU, have you noticed how many players they may have back next season? If no one makes the jump, they'll practically return their entire offense.

-On ND, did you realize they have negative rushing yards for the year? I caught the stat on ESPN this morning. -8.

-I'm still not sold on UCLA, especially considering BYU had twice as many penalty yards yesterday as they did rushing yards. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

-My *homer* observation for the week, for the second week in a row Alabama scored on its first possession, its first play.
