Gator scrimmage on 8/16: It was insufferably hot Tuesday morning, the 93 degree temperature made worse by 25 percent humidity, not exactly optimum conditions for Florida's first football scrimmage. The results weren't exactly optimum, either, because for every completed pass it seemed there were two dropped balls and for every nice running play, it seemed there were at least two plays blown up behind the line of scrimmage. There weren't a lot of big plays, not even from starting quarterback Chris Leak, whose three completions in nine attempts in the regular phase of the scrimmage rank among his least productive workouts in the three years he's been a Gator. But, there were positive moments, enough so that both Coach Urban Meyer, and his offensive coordinator, Dan Mullen, saw some blocks on which they can build.
I really hope Mr. Urban falls flat on his face simply because of all the hype surrounding him. Sure he ran the table in his old conference, but this is the SEC. There's no way he starts out at the top.
I know the guy who owns that board, Ray Hines. It's free, as long as there isn't too many "paying" members on the site. There are times you can't access it. Good marketing plan, if you ask me.
yeah I know I just thought it was funny.....he is like " it was 93 degrees and to make matters worse the humidity was a whoopin 25%....making th heat index 94."
What happens at Gator nation id Meyer doesnt produce the results they were hoping for. Is 8-3 good enough for him this year.
