Just wondering....any of you see the game or the end at least? Do you think it was a good call or did OM get your Auburn type call?

I think it was a terrible call. First of all, it was questionable as to whether or not the receiver was forced out of bounds. If he was, then the Ole Miss player has every right to catch the ball.

Second, even if he went out of bounds on his own then I believe he can still make a play on the ball *IF* is is touched by a defensive player first. The Bama player clearly touched the ball first then the Ole Miss player wrestled it away from him.

In short, Ole Miss got screwed by the refs on that play.

I have "an idea" that the OM player went out of bounds. The real question is how he got there, possible shove (defensive pass interference). Doubt anyone could argue that the pass wasn't catchable (ala AU last year) .

What bothers me about the penalty policy (written or otherwise) is the "no-double-jeapordy" standard. The refs seem to think that if a fellow ref blows a call (Not wrong, just misidentified), then no penalty ocurred. Who could argue that last years AU play wasn't defensive holding?

Anyway, its all sour grapes at this point. The only thing you can make with that is cheap whine. Take it in stride and move on, it'll add years to your life:thumb: .

Oh, I'm not crying about it. I'm used to it. Nothing I can do about a bad call whether frequent or not. I'm just used to the SEVEN POINT OR LESS LOSS.

    This youtube video explains it:

To rule for Saban, the refs would have to decide

He definitely was not forced out of bounds

    and

He definitely touched the ball before the defender

    and

He definitely had not reestablished himself in bounds before catching the ball.

In short, ole miss got shafted-- has the SEC office given an explanation on this one?

They agreed with the replay call.

You've answered the question...he had not reestablished his position in bounds.

There are enough video's out there which show both sides of this story. It's a moot point now.

You missed a key ingredient. See bolded words below.

Just realized I typed offensive instead of defensive pass interference... my bad.

Shocker, Terry defending a call in UA's favor...
