1. In DD's update he says that Ricky Jean Francois played. I think this is his first action this year. Did we play him because he is on the track team and surely they are not going to redshirt him. I was wondering because it seems like a weird time to lose a redshirt. I also think he is going to wind up being a great pass rusher. I also think the Beckwith kid and Highsmith are going to be a great LB tandem.
  2. Track and football are two different sports...you can red-shirt in one and not the other.

Just some general info, i dont know anything about this case in particular.
  3. His being on the track team since he is not on a track scholarship shouldn't effect his ability to redshirt in football I would think.
  4. Thanks that was what i was wondering. Now i really do not know why he played last night.
  5. Some kids just really don't want to redshirt. Barrington Edwards didn't want to redshirt his freshman year, even though he was #4 on the chart. He preferred playing special teams and losing a year of elligibility to sitting out a season of football. I bet he wishes he had it back now.

Les has also stated that a freshman will play if the team needs him. Perhaps the coach needs to develop a little depth for the stretch run.
  6. Just because Dandy Don said he played doesn't mean he really played.
  7. He is listed in the player participation stats on lsusports.net...
  8. yeah... he played...

He almost got a sack late in the game I think
  9. i went back and watched the 4 th Qtr. and I did not see him at all.

  10. Maybe his participation on lsusports.net is a typo?
