Would they call a better game if they were paid more? Instead or rewarding crews with bowl games, maybe the NCAA should put the games out on bid.
I don't understand why they should get any special treatment. It's a job, and they are paid a salary. Bowls were supposed to be a reward for the players for having good seasons. They don't get to take their families to the game for free, and aren't not put up in hotels for free. If the refs don't want to work for the salary offered, then don't take the job. It is not a vacation for them. It is a job. Do your job to the best of your ability, and get paid the salary that you were offered to do the job.
Simple solution. Take it or leave it. And threaten them with the Motor City and New Orleans Bowls. That'll shut their yap once and for all. :hihi:
