So I went back and looked at what most of us predicted before the season. There were some posts after the TCU game where at the time we thought that was another big win. http://www.tigerfan.com/threads/vot...son-record-will-be.106557/page-7#post-1346316 Ahh the joys of pre-season optimism.
Opps Fixed. Sorry I had that page open and wasn't paying attention. I don't post on TD. That site is full of absolute loons... I find it entertaining.
I didn't post but remember clicking the 10-3. I assumed losses to Bama, and UGA or A&M and one that we shouldn't lose (which we seem to do almost every year like Ole Miss or Arkansas) So my 10-3 is looking in peril.
I had us at 10-3 with a bowl win (so 9-3 regular season). But after the UAB game (see my Sept 7 post), I saw how bad our defense was going to be (and saw Welter, yikes) and declared that 9-3 would be a shocking regular season record. Smart man.
I think it was really hard for anyone to predict just how porous the defense would turn out to be, despite the mass exodus. I figured, at worst, we'd be on the level of the 2009 defense, which was Chavis' first year. What I wouldn't give for that defense this year.
