1. Per Randy Rosetta:

    This oughtta be interesting.
  2. What's the status of the charges against him stemming from the Shady's fight?
  3. BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A judge has ordered former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson to report to jail by 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Jefferson "looked shocked" as the judge made his ruling.
District Judge Chip Moore ruled that withJefferson's arrest last week on drug charges, Jefferson violated the terms of his bond related to an arrest last year. Jefferson was charged with simple battery after a fight at Shady's Bar in Baton Rouge in 2011.
Judge Moore also ordered Jefferson to undergo a substance abuse evaluation.
East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore would not comment specifically on the Jefferson case but did talk about the process. "When someone is on bond and they re-offended obviously the judge that sets the bond will take a look at the reasoning behind it," says Moore. "Everyone is presumed innocent, even on a re-arrest."
He might have to remain jailed until his next court hearing, which is scheduled for Dec. 12.

  4. I don't like JJ, but this is stupid. Jailed for smoking a joint. smh.

That said, if I'm on probation and any infraction gets me locked up, I aint "infractin'".

  5. BTW, does this mean his bond gets forfeited? If so, does his bonding company (I'm assuming he used one) get to go after him civilly for the amount of the bond that they are on the hook for?
  6. What a crock of shit. Your fucked up judicial system at its finest.

  7. Guys, its not just the pot. He has a prior offense for which there was an agreement that he has now violated. He KNEW that when he chose to break in and toke it up. He didn't say to himself, "you know what, a year ago I was in trouble, and I have a legal agreement to get out of that trouble, maybe I shouldn't force my way in here, and doing something that is illegal." I mean, I would have thought that way. Not saying he needs to live in a bubble, but he CAN make better choices, even though many of you are sympathetic to his pot smoking.

  8. I suppose the EBR Jail is not very crowded? It seems very silly for him to be in jail for smoking pot.

  9. I guess it's for the headstomp and not staying out of trouble. More likely and rightfully so, it's for the nc game.
  10. Dude, he got in a bar fight and smoked a joint. I guess pretty much everybody here should be in jail?

I noted above that he should've kept his nose clean. That said, the larger issue is jail time for normal college behavior is stupid.
