This story is so ridiculous that it's hard for me to respond. Will the race happen? I seriously doubt it? Can Johnson win? Yes, but only if Usain breaks his ankle coming out of the block. if he only breaks his leg, he will still win. It's preposterous to think that Chris Johnson can run anywhere near as fast as Usain Bolt. Bolt won't run because he has nothing to gain, unless the payday is huge, but who the hell would watch this. I would just wait to see the dust in Johnson's eyes on sportscenter.
If the race is in full pads and cleats, CJ has a chance. I'm regular 100 m track conditions he may get lapped.
Big difference between football fast and track fast as well. CJ probably wins any race in a distance up to, but not longer than, 50m. After that, UB dusts him.
I think Bolt beats him in every race past 20 yards as long as you run it ten times to take out bad start variance.
I think Bolt beats him at any distance from the gun to the line 10 times out of 10 unless he trips. CJ is really fast but not in Bolt's class.
The only way that CJ wins at ANY distance is if his Titans teammates are allowed to play bump and run defense against Bolt
His sport only gets the national spotlight once every four years. He'll run for the publicity if anything.
