This was reperted on 1300 AM by the Sugar Bowl Director that the Sports Arena might open and sell tickets for fans that couldn't get tickets to the Sugar Bowl. If this happens that is where I will be.

I was hoping that would happen. They could at least accomodate another 10K or so "90-proof" fans. (That's an inside for anyone who read one of the articles in the AJC on Sunday AM).

    The reason

The guy said that OU had 50,000 tickets requested.

More than 10,000. The Arena holds up to 17,000 according to the site I found.

This might be the biggest all around crowd for a bowl game...ever. IF OU brings 50K you damn well know we'll bring even more.

It will be like a mini-Mardi Gras for downtown N.O.

    Good!

I did a 10K or so since I wasn't sure if they would load up the entire arena and what the viewing angles would be like. I kinda envisioned a concert-type configuration...

They better bring in the Nat'l Guard for extra security. Those 90-proof fans are gonna make some noise...

Please keep us informed. That'd probably be the next best thing to actually going. Basically a big party.
