As far as number of posts, I am relatively new to the forum. Between raising a family and work, not a whole lot of time to play on the internet so I have basically limited my usage of this forum to browse and check on the latest scoop, never really anticipated having the time to participate in the discussions. Basically enjoyed sitting back and reading what, on most occassions, was pretty interesting discussions....waiting for the occassion to be the first to provide some interesting information. Missed my chance over Mardi Gras this past year when a friend advised me, before it was officially announced, that Les Miles was going to be our new coach. I was in Aspen, Co. and couldn't get on line to provide the scoop. Anyway, just curious about reputation points and if there are some basic guidelines, written or not, that are used to give bad rep. Curiosity was peaked yesterday when I got a bad rep point for a really benign post. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Some people get their panties in a wad about it. It's usually nothing personal. It's negative rep because you disagree with the post, think the person didn't make a case for their post or whatever else.
No guidelines. No real purpose. You can get green or red for anything and everything under the sun. Just don't worry about them.
You apparently have to average 3 posts an hour to rack up the numbers some of these guys have. Those of us with lower post numbers apparently have a life or a job, or both. As far as rep goes, I can't get much of either. I've only manage to tick off one person so far.
