One thing we learned about Miles last season is that he plays the field position game very closely. We are very reliant on two positions: punter and return specialist.

Most people expected Carter to be utilized for kick returns this year. Now that he's moved on to pro track, is this suddenly a position that is up in the air? Or is there a clear frontrunner to step up and take over the duties? Who do you think will step up and take over as the return specialist?

2 Words...Trindon Holliday. Descriptions Ive heard are "Skyler Green with faster straightline speed". His HS highlight videos are absolutely sick.

Absolutely. I've also heard he's got a quicker first step than Xavier.

trindon holliday and chevis jackson could be the returners this year....they both had long returns in the spring scrimmage

Holliday will be good. Chevis Jackson looked really, really good n the spring game, but I would probably want Holliday back there for the fact that he isnt as valuable on offense/defense.

I wonder how Miles feels about this... Saban seemed to have no problem putting our best guys on special teams, and it didn't seem like Miles did either last season.

Lately, more and more key players have been put on special teams. I guess coaches finally realized how easy you can lose or win a game in the special teams area.
You're right, it will be interesting to see.

I guess they like having their "best" playmakers on the field at all time
