I doubted his credibility because I have never read or seen that board before. Doesnt look like too many people are using it either so I didnt know. He did get it right though. I just wished he was wrong.

Not sure where USC came in either unless it's South Carolina. He did not hold an offer from the Trojans and with Mustain's transfer, no QB's are expected to be offered in this class. Matt Barkley is high on the board for next year though.

Interesting.......he said, "It came down to LSU, USC and Florida", with the difference being that LSU was recruiting him to play quarterback and the others were really recruiting me as a receiver; however, rivals doens't have USC listed with any offers.

As for RJ Francois, I'm sorry to hear that.

Has anyone heard how Sidell Corley is doing? Will he compete for RJF's job?

Last I'd heard, he was 4th on the DE depth chart.

Well, none of us should be totally surprised that RJF could miss the season. It was reported last season that he had some academic issues (which forced him to be ineligible for the bowl game). And for those of us that have ever been on that end of the stick (sadly, I was on probation after my first year--but I'll add that I rebounded nicely from my 1.75 GPA my Fresh. year to graduate with a 3.4), you're on probabtion for a year...which, to me, would indicate that if at the conclusion of the fall semester of '06 you had academic issues, then you were on probation till the end of the fall semester of '07.

Perhaps the appeal we're hearing about is in reference to classes and course work RJF may have completed during the summer semester??? In any case, I'm sure that at the very least, he'll get his grades back in order this semester (if he hasn't already done so) and might be eligible to return to give us some added depth/contributions by the time a bowl game rolls around?

As for Thomas, unless I'm not getting it right and not comprehending what's being said, I'd say that some view this as a negative and aren't happy with the commitment, no? I know we are looking to bring in a QB in this class, and though Thomas DOES play QB, and is listed as such on many recruiting websites, doesn't mean he won't be brought in to play another position (say WR) if nec. once he gets here. He's a player, that no matter how you look at it, provides versatility...which is always a good thing, IMO.

The RJF situation has been known for a long time now, he missed the Sugar Bowl for the same offense. The details may not have been known widely, but it is likely he'll miss all of the regular season...and maybe the bowl game.

Most people have known about the situation for a while now, I guess the question that arose from this post by this mod on that SEC board is whether or not it was official that he would miss the entire season. I guess nothing official has been handed down.
