Ok who's coming to this SEC game between two Old Rivals? We're setting up a tailgate area by their coliseum, or what they call a coliseum anyway. :dis: Game is a night Game. TV and 6.45 start time. I may have an extra ticket. who's coming and when do you expect to get in to Oxford? I'll be coming back from Georgia Friday night so I have to get up early Sat and go scope out a spot. I'll be pushing the schedule but thanks to my wife holding down the fort here AND a certain Auburn poster on this forum, everything will go just fine. :thumb: We'll have a green ( I know green UGH Tulame? :shock: hey they weren't any Purple ones at Wally world! ) pop up awning thingy with a Poster that says TIGER FORUMS. Opposing teams usually get stuck around the coliseum to tailgate, but we may try to reserve a spot in the "grove" grove :lol: I have to laugh at that everytime I hear/say it. it's their pathetic lil spot they are so enamoured with. it's a drop in the bucket compared to all of LSU's panorama of beauty. the Crepe Myrtles. etc..
that should be more than enough to over power the Ole miss band. :thumb: look us up man. story time: Saturday before the game about 11 am, my wife and I decide to go to Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast. Since it's game day we are both decked out in LSU shirts and hats. off we go, not realizing Ole Myth is hosting the Piggies of ARK and it's almost Game time. Lo and behold at Cracker barrel the piggies and the Rebels are all eating their ham and eggs when two fully decked out in Purple and gold bonafide LSU faithful walk in. :shock: :thumb: Well let me tell you WE got some looks! :hihi: I told my wife as we walked by them scarfing back their grits...." don't worry baby if you add their win record together it wouldn't be as good as LSU's" a few over heard that remark. :lol: A couple of Piggie fans came up to me and asked if we "took a wrong turn?" He was quite nice and a comical fellow. So I told him " no we we're just LSU faithful" and I wished his team well vs Ole Myth. He also wished us well vs Bama and said he thought Bama was due to be took down. I smiled and agreed. Then he said they were coming to BR town and were going to try to sqeek out a win. I told him that he was asking a tad too much and he should savor his victory over the Rebels. he laughed and went on his way. The Ole Myth fans just looked down their noses at both of us. so basically GEAUX to HELL OLE MYTH! lefire:
JSRacing- Never took notice until now that you are from Batesville. Wife is from Memphis and have family in Batesville.....relatives own Heafner Motors. What a drag that Ole Miss is at your back door!
