Watching the Florida and Miami game, they were talking about New Years gifts and Gotfried said "Somebody's going to get a gift, the LSU job, Bobby Petrino and Jack Del Rio, they say he's looking at that job. Somebody's waiting for a great job." Franklin responded "Listen, you talk about some good young players, they are there." Certainly not everyone is good with ESPN (Trev o: ), but Franklin and Gotfried are a great tandem.
By far the best broadcast team in college football imo. Either that or I am just so used to hearing them call Saturday night games that they are second nature to me. They always do a very good job.
Yea, I think the whole media, except in Louisiana, kept the "CO" mantra chant every time they would talk about the Tigers.
I like Franklin a lot. I used to like Keith Jackson a lot too, but he is so far up the Pac 10s a$$ that I have soured on him. I will take the announcers on ESPN anyday over the ABC ones....especially Jackson, Fouts, Musburger, and Daniels. Lynn Swan is the only classy one there.
How true. One of my favorite lines Jackson made was.. Auburn hands off to Fullwood, hit at the line, and fumbuuuuullllllllllllll..............Alabamaaaaaaa recovers. (or something like that)
