http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/9575791 Haven't seen this story posted... Dennis Dodd on RP and what his future may have looked like at another school. 'Ol Dennis can be so "cheap" at times with his commentaries!
He is a bust because he can't beat out a sophomore who had been in the system for 3 years now and also is really talented. Makes sense to me. Dodd is an idiot.
I guess one of the things that bothers me about the article... and Dodd in general... is that he can write a thousand some words on a guy and not even interview him... or his coach. He forgets that RP wasn't even Rivals top QB in 2005. Sanchez was... is he starting? At least RP has kept his nose clean! Jake Christensen (Iowa) was the fourth highest rated QB that year. He "ain't" starting, either. To just "rap" on these kids, based on some media rag rankings, is pretty cheap. If Dodd had chosen to do a "where are they now", then fine, but just to single out one 19 year old kid.... well, you get my drift...
Already a bust? I'm speechless............. Wait, no i'm not. Dennis Dodd is a sensationalist fool who wouldn't know how to back up a story with sound reasoning if his life depended on it. How can a RS freshman who happens to be behind two players with far more experience (oh and by the way one of them won 10 games as a starter last year) be labled a bust? As far as RP making the wrong decision, sure he'd be starting at UT right now, but the only person who can determine the right or wrong of it is RP himself. He knew he wasn't going to be handed the starting job from the get go so he shouldn't be shocked if he is 3rd string. By all acounts he is still excited to be a Tiger so DD can STFU :cuss: Besides, is being a 3rd string QB with the talent level of the other two QB's on our team the same as being 3rd string anywhere else? I think not. You have to look at the big picture and not what suits your agenda. Thats what seperates the good informative journalist from writers like Dodd. Dodd is a Joke and always will be.
