If a running back gets a running start and intentionally tries to dive over the pile and into the endzone and lands on a defensive player is this a personal foul?

depends if the game is on the line and you are playing at Auburn's home field.

i just looked it up in the rule book.

It applies only to field goals.

LOL. It isn't a penalty today, but may be something the rules committee needs to address in the offseason. Someone could get hurt out there.

Saban said at his press conference today that he wanted a rule to restrict the leaping and jumping on field goals to avoid injuries. His committee passed a rule that was similar to the NFL, but the NCAA modified it.

Saban doesn't like the new rule b/c it's not specific enough ... but he does want a rule to protect players.

I think we should take off the pads and just play two hand touch. This might eliminate all the contact that goes on in football that could injure someone.

That's too dangerous. We need to have each player sit at home and submit his action via email.

    I dunno. :)
