I think it is kind of weird Russell isn't even going to the game...

I understand "treatment" or whatever if you have other games to prepare for, but he has a whole offseason to get ready

It kinda struck me as strange also that Russell isn't making the trip. Maybe Coach thought it would be a distraction. Or maybe Russell is coming up with someone and will still be on the sidelines. I couldn't imagine him not being there. Oh well, who am I?

I think that is probably the case...

He will show up on gameday, rather than spending the whole week...

I completely agree. Russell should be there as a teamate of flynn's. How often do you see an injured starter pointing out things on the field to the backup or current starter? maybe this will require jimbo to get his arse out of the booth (unless, he shelved that earlier this year) and be closer to flynn during gametime.

I realize les wants russell ready for spring, but one day/night out of BR isn't gonna make any difference in his rehab. the fact that russell won't be there supporting his team, just baffles me. we're not talking about roger clemens or baseball here. russell should definitley be on the sideline for this game - no excuse.

Since friday brought it up, don't forget that Miles should be calling more of the plays in this game. If nothing else, it should be interesting to see if there are any changes from the play calling throughout the season. I'm sure Jimbo will stay in the booth. There is no reason for him to come down to the field. I'll be looking to see if Coach Miles has some type of play book during the game.

He's got something in his hand. It looks small to be a play book.

I agree. I wonder if there is "more" to the story that what is being reported? On the surface it just doesn't sound right.
