Yes, I am an aggie. I am an even bigger college football fan and know the SEC is where it starts. The reason I am on here is that there is a group of 4 guys that like to make a trip every year to a random college football game with no team or even conference affiliations. We are all from different schools in the Big XII. We have chosen the October 22nd game of Auburn at LSU this year. I need help in 2 ways.

    1. Where do i get tickets? Best chances, decent cost, but best available seat as well? When should I start looking for tickets? What area in the stadium do i want to avoid? We want to sit with home team. We always cheer for home team.

    2. Here is the tricky one. We have done this in the past and noticed that you could rent RV's on site with grill and everything already set up. All we have to do is get a ride to the parking lot. We are a bunch of thirty year olds and while we might think we can hang with 22 year olds at the bar, we are much better off tailgating with everyone else. I cannot find a place that will rent an RV and have it already parked for me. Does anyone know of a place that does that. It is difficult, because they probably have to buy RV spots well in advance and just leave an RV out for it during the entire season. Should cost around $500 or so per night. I know Bama and TAMU have these companies that do this, but have had a difficult time finding one for LSU.
To piggy back on it, what RV lot should we shoot for. We want to experience LSU tailgating.

    3. IF no RV lot, what hotel/area do you recommend staying? Do way stay in town at the casino or should we stay closer to campus? We don't want a dump, but don't need a Ritz either.

We will be flying to New Orleans on Thursday and either renting a car Friday or taking cab Friday to spend rest of weekend in Baton Rouge. Coming from DFW.

Thanks and I look forward to the game

There are single day RV parking passes available in the lot across from the Vet School.
They do go pretty quick and need to get them pretty much the first day they go on sale.
You can get RV passes on lsusports.net

As for Renting an RV I am not familiar with any in Baton Rouge but I have done this a few times at a company in Dallas off 35e in Lewisville that have some REALLy nice ones. They are not cheap 500+/day but these have flat screens full commode etc.

I am sure you can google and find something.

When I was in school we rented an RV for the Arkansas game. It came with a parking pass. The RV rental place parked it in the RV lot and set it all up. we never even drove the thing. I want to say it was innovated RV but its been a while. Motorhome and RV rentals Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Innovative RV

Just google Baton Rouge RV Rental and give them a call.

Thanks a ton. What parking lot do you recommend? I am sure there is more than one RV lot.

I don't think you're going to have the option to pick and choose. If the RV place has a package with the parking pass you get what they have. Otherwise your going to have to find one on your own which won't be easy as I think there is a waiting list. I believe they have some first come first serve lots for visiting fans. Check with the LSU ticket office. If you do find multiple options post back what you find available and someone can steer you in the right direction.
