Talking to Steelers S Ryan Clark, told me he spent some time coaching up LSU's DBs in the offseason, was proud seeing that win over Oregon.

The former Tigers are always on campus using the workout facility in the offseason and for an extended time this year with the lockout. I heard someone brought Suh with them this year.

Suh's a phenominal talent, but his assanine tactics are borderline for seeing him spend more games suspended/fined than games he's "wowing" everyone.

I'd be more impressed with him as a player if he would quit the out-right cheep shots.

Look, there have been a LOT of players deemed "dirty" by the NFL. The LB for Pittsburgh comes to mind. He's labled a "head hunter" by the NFL office and seemingly always fined for "helmet-to-helmet" hits. I know the NFL is changing rules with reguard to player safety, but at least his play mirrors the way the game USED to be played and at least he responds by saying how he's played that way all his life and he can't change.

Suh, on the other hand, body-slamming QB's that don't even have the ball and it's clear that he knows it when he does it, is bush-league.

Until the NFL gets serious about dirty players nothing will change. If you have a player that makes 100,000+ a game and fine him 10,000 $ you have done nothing. You have to not just punish the guilty player but the team. As Shane could probably tell you better than I can, if you punish the whole group they will police themselves. If you have a player that keeps playing dirty and you do something to punish both him and the team the dirty play will stop. Suspend the player for a couple of games. When the team loses because their star player is suspended they will promote better play from within.

Oh make no mistake, these guys LOVE their money. No matter if the fine is 10k or 50k or whatever, they're hurting. We may think that it's just a drop in the bucket, but some of these guys are living paycheck to paycheck worse than we are.

Anyone want to guess the former LSU Player that was vote as a Dirty Player in the NFL?

Congrats to Ryan, undrafted and still playing for over 10 years in the NFL. A guy that was too small, too slow, too this and too that, all he does is run the Dick LeBeau system.
