    The new trend in naming girls is to give them a gender non-specific name. My daughter's name is Sloane, and people always ask me if I named her that for Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, but actually, we were looking for Irish names, since we have an O apostrophe last name.

    You just never know whats up these days. I know a black guy who's wife just had a baby girl and they named her Amare. The only other person with that name I had ever heard of is a male NBA player named Amare Stoudamire. When Shaquille O'Neal first came to LSU my Dad was talking to his housecleaning lady about him and she said she thought Shaquille was a girls name.
