Thanks for the info. Rivals.com is sure to follow. Look for Ford and Michael to exchange places in the top 100.
Up from #55 on the Scout 300 to #17!!! Just ahead of #18 Jamarkus McFarland!!! Also ahead of Bama commit Trent Richardson (the #4 RB). The only RB Scout ranks higher than Ford is Bryce Brown of Wichita, Kansas. Nice! Of the other LSU commits that were in the Scout 300 a month ago: Shepard, Davenport, Pratt, Minter, Brockers, Jackson, Calhoun, Faulk, Bell, and Lowe -- none of them have yet seen any signifcant change in their ranking in the Scout 300.
Even though we were disappointed Ford did not get his shot in the Hawaii vs. Mainland game, a top Scout guy was at the practices and saw what he could do. He was the one saying he is the best RB not named Brown. Congrats to Ford after coming back from an year where he sat with an injury and working his way to one of the best RBs in the nation.
This was what Scout.com Recruiting Manager Bob Lichtenfels thought after watching Ford in Hawaii. Ford is the best running back I have seen this year not named Bryce Brown. I would still have a struggle picking Brown over Ford. Mark my words SEC fans you will be hearing this kids name quite a few times the next few years. He is such a compact and strong back. He is not short, but he runs with a low center of gravity. He looks like a power back, but he has such a quick burst. He can hit the hole and be at top speed very quickly. Ford is also a talented receiver out of the backfield. He did well in pass pro as well.
I see him starting sophmore year like Knowshown. Is it possible that he gets a redshirt because our RB postion has a lot of depth with 2 seniors and a junior?
