I heard about this a couple of days ago, but didn't see any articles anywhere...so I thought it was baloney.

Well there is a new tradition in college football that trumps the rose bowl.....$$$$$$$$$ !!!

So I guess if the game was played last year Oklahoma state would have had to play the third best team in the SEC western division. :D

If it means the SEC Champ doesn't go to the Sugar Bowl, then I don't like it.

All of the bowls are in a state of flux right now and we won't know how everything is going to shake out until the BCS decides on the final format for the semi finals and the championship game. Each conference and the major bowls are presenting plans. So I doubt if we are going to see this catchup take place too often in any one bowl sure to a rotation for the semi finals.

I think the championship game is going to be similar to the Super Bowl scenario whereby cities bid on it each year.

the Big 12 currently only has 10 teams, while the SEC has 14... i'd imagine the Big 12 would like to at least add 2 teams to get to 12, maybe 4 teams to get to 14. there's a lot of talk about Florida State going to the Big 12. who knows, maybe they raid the ACC and get Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech, and Clemson

according to this report, Florida State and Clemson will be teams #11 and #12 for the Big 12

It means the Sugar Bowl will have to bid against Jerryworld for the game.
