These are their records against SEC teams. Urban Meyer: 12-3 (.800) Les Miles: 11-4 (.733) Mark Richt: 26-12 (.684) Steve Spurrer: 22-11 (.666) Tommy Tuberville: 27-18 (.600) Nick Saban: 11-9 (.550) Phillip Fulmer: 24-23 (.510) Houston Nutt: 17-20 (.459) Rich Brooks: 7-18 (.280) Bobby Johnson: 6-22 (.214) Ed Orgeron: 3-11 (.214) Sylvester Croom: 2-17 (.105) Most impressive is Mark Richt when you look at how many games he's played against SEC foes to have the winning percentage he does. It must be freakin pathetic to be a college football fan in Mississippi. We're talking TWO SEC teams, three years, a combined 8 SEC wins (I added the 3 from '04, the year before coach O arrived).........And they do play each other, mind you. :hihi: The COMBINED record of, again, TWO SEC schools, in THREE YEARS.......20-48!! :dis: :dis: I bet I know what most people's biggest surprise will be.......
[ It must be freakin pathetic to be a college football fan in Mississippi. It's no that bad.. O didn't have much to start with so soon his first year. Improvements have been made. (although I do "hear" some pressure is starting up now) Last year they lost some real heart breakers in OT etc. I think the average win by LSU over OM in the last five years is pretty close except for one year. And look at the power LSU has had for the last five years. I can remember LSU being OM's prey for five in a row. OM will never (I think) be a top five again though. But it's still kinda fun. :geauxtige
Lol! I'm thinking not. Satan and Spurrier both wear red and you never see them at the same place at the same time! I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
Changing the subject just a bit... SOS simply doesn't impress me anymore. Losing record to DuBose. Got spanked in Columbia by Shula's team. Getting spanked by Shula is close to asking Rosie for marriage advice. As in hetro... He's sitting on wanting 80 wins and he's the winningest coach in SC history.
I 'm sure you know I didn't mean any offense to you col, was jus uphauled at the numbers. :thumb: So true, 3 point difference in 3 of them and a 14-13 one in '02. That would be beginning with the year I was born '65-'69. If you go back farther '51-'57, a tie and 6 losses in a row.
Be careful you don't laugh too much, you might be laughing at LSU too.....Ole Miss is ranked #4 in the SEC for next year.........LSU is at #3. With all college football teams, Ole Miss is at #17 and LSU is at #16. I've read where he was a very good recruiter, and though it's early, they are right on our heels this year. What separates his recruiting classes is he hasn't been able to snag a 5 star or two but a lot of 3's and 4's. :thumb:
