1. I know it is a little early but I want to get the perspective of the fans. Does LSU have a chance of winning the tourny and an automatic bid to the big dance?

To my surprise, I really enjoyed reading this Dildeaux blog post on the situation. Amazing to see what he can do without all that negativity to bring attention to himself.

  2. Thats really good to hear, I hope they can carry the momentum over but I don't know if we beat Florida again on a neutral court. But then again, thats why you play the game I guess...Winning the SEC Tourney would pretty much save the season IMO. We may not be a high NCAA Tourney bid if we do get in, but heck we'll be there and anything goes once you're in.
  3. With the exception of the first Arkansas game, we were pretty much in every SEC game we played in. We blew leads in just about every game. So, to say that we could run the table in the tournament is not too far fetched. Do I think it will happen? John Brady is still coaching this team.
  4. The last 2 games proved they have enough talent to win this year. It will be interesting to see how Davis and this team reacts to his return. I can see them playing well in the tourney and winning 2 or 3 games, but not winning it all. Not enough depth to win 4 in 4 days.
  5. its possible, but less likely than the FF run last year.

the best chance is to get the benefit of a few upsets to avoid UF and Vandy.

if lsu is #6, will play E #3 (looks like Vandy)--tough game, then W#2 (much easier), then UF unless someone knocks them off. because being #6 in W makes it likely to play the two best SEC teams, it'd be nice to get #5 (#4 is still possible i think if AU loses 2 and LSU wins two--one h2h @home).

as #5 seed, E4 (UT/UGA?), W1 (MSU/OM), then E2 (Vandy). i like the chance to get to final much better here because obviously weaker team in game 1 and both games could have some payback feel to it. played well against ut, uga and om and got losses---msu, well, i always think its tough to beat a team 3x in a season. getting vandy in 3rd round gives more chances for upset.

but wont happen. too bad at crunch time. teams will have different/better strategies against bb-less lsu, or lsu with bb will have problems with O rhythm. i think bb will play and if lsu has O efficiency like against uf for most of the game it will be great coaching by cjb.
  6. If we get into any post season, especially the NCAAs, Brady would have completed yet another late season turn around after an excrutiating regular season and I think earned himself even more wiggle room. But damn Brady, can't you recruit a point-guard? And does every season have to be this painful?

I'll be pulling for my tigers and Brady. I never thought we would whip the Gators...

After college football, there is nothing like seeing LSU in the post-season. Very exciting. :bball:
