...is Arky really that good? I must admit I have not seen them play at all this year. To me what from what I've read they seem pretty one-dimensional and it seems that we would match up well against them. I was really looking forward to a showdown for the west next Friday... Oh well, I hope we can still beat the tar out of them and make a strong case for a BCS berth at this point. Looks like Arky had the more favorable schedule this year, in so far as not many tough road games, unlike us. On a related note, Dandy Don earlier in the week on his website talked about the fact that we were originally to play Auburn in October, and not September -- the game was moved so ESPN could televise LSU/Fresno State. I'm not one to cry woulda/coulda/shoulda, but Don made some good points as to it being potentially more favorable for us if the game had remained as scheduled in October. Of course, never mind we had our chances against Auburn and got robbed. What could have been! :geauxtige
I don't think the officials improve as the year goes on, so there's no effect. If anything, they are able to improve their focus, which could have meant us losing by 30.
Never mind the West. I really hope LSU takes Ark behind the woodshed. It is certainly possible. Maybe a BCS bid. Maybe show who SHOULD really be respresenting the west. But, Ark won it, and that's that. Yet, as good as the SEC has been as a whole this year, having Ark respresent the west just seems WRONG. I'll stop crying in my beer now.
You hit it on the head, NVT. Stop McFadden, which LSU will do, and this team won't move the ball on us all day long. We just need JR to "manage" the game for us. That's my only concern.
It's all hard to swallow, the whole dam thing but our season will have a happy ending after we win our next two and our bowl game....... Hopeflully, we'll get to put an ass-whipping on USC or ND. :thumb:
