Has anyone of my North Texas friends here had their pet spay or chopped at the TCAP (Texas coalition for animal protection)? They offer low cost spay and neuter for dogs and cats. I've read some bad reviews online but I've also read good reviews. My dog is literally my best friend, no joke, she means the world to me and if these fuckers hurt her I will go columbine. What would you do? Check the place out in person first? Just not go?
If your dog means a lot to you, do the right thing for her. Spend the time to research which vet will give her the best possible care, even if you wind up spending more than you expected. You can't find any bargains when you're shopping for piece of mind.
Not sure about Texas, but a lot of these free places in NC, turn you in to the county as a dog owner, then the county tries to collect property tax on your dog. Yeah, that is right. For what you are gonna save, I would go top of the line vet. My pups were neutered with a vet tech assisting in halter top and daisy dukes. They never uttered one bad word. Good luck...to your pooch, too!
Go to a vet. We took our rescue dog, a lab, to McKinney SPCA and they nearly killed her--giving her a medication that most labs are allergic to. Mine was violently ill, and the vet bills to get her well far exceeded what it would've cost to get the procedure done there in the first place.
