What did they claim he did ? I couldn't figure it out at the game and did not watch the replay.

From the Cox replay, it appeared that a Tulane defender took a swipe at his head and he retaliated with a punch to the midsection. I couldn't tell from the camera angle if it was a low blow, but it was in the neighborhood.

As usual, the guy retaliating gets caught. Bet Jordan did quite a bit of running this week.

I watched it in on the replay and Jordan was on his knees while the Tulane player took two shots at his helmet with a closed fist. He retaliated with a blow to his stomach that you couldn't really see on the replay because of camera angle. Obviously the official didn't see the two head shots by the Tulane player because he should have been ejected also.

The Toolame player took AT LEAST 2 or 3 shots at Jordan's head while he was kneeling. I was at the game and didn't see what happened but the cox replay showed it plenty clear. Jordan got a raw deal on that one and I think if you're ejected you serve a one game suspension.

well, getting hit in the helmet doesn't hurt at all... players need to just shake that stuff off sometimes...

the low-blow is what got him tossed, because that's exactly what it was...

I know he was provoked, but when you're up by as much as we were at the time, he has to overlook that...

Now if the helmet's off, it's a different story...

We can't complain too much, because Charles Scott clearly fumbled and Tulane clearly recovered it the play before

    true dat.

I thought it was very funny about how Songy was lauding Scott for his "lack of freshman mistakes... ie putting the ball on the ground" yesterday.

    Selective memory?

I'm pretty sure hitting someone with a closed fist gets you kicked out of the game no matter how much it hurts. Not that it matters in hind sight, but I always thought that was a rule.

I am not saying the Tulane guy did no wrong. I am just saying that Jordan was not harmed by the shot to the helmet, so he shouldn't have responded...

Like the above poster said, he has been running... quite a bit...

No doubt. Especially when 9 out of 10 times the guy who throws the last punch is the one who gets caught. Players should know this by now.
