Clay was hired on at state in the early 90's and was fired I think after 3 seasons. If Sherrill did not think Clay was a good DC, do you think Clay will have success at LSU. I just see Florida putting 40 on us in a couple years which is starting to give me the tepper jitters. And since Miles is bringing him over to Baton Rouge, it sounds like someone else I know with loyalty problems.

This is the only thing that gets my blood boiling in regards to this hire. I think Miles himself is a good hire, but when OSU fans are calling for the DC to be canned and they are ranked 70+ every year then it is ridiculous for Miles to think things will change once Clay coaches here. Insanity = doing things the same way over and over and expecting different results. I liked his insanity in the videos, but if this Clay hire is true then it seems that Miles is too loyal for his own good.
