Exactly, that's what USL is coming here for. No need to schedule another creampuff for a game that wont even count.
With human polls around, I don't think it would be possible to have a college exhibition game. (And that's assuming it's a good idea in the first place, which I question). Even if you say, "This game doesn't count toward standings.", people still see it. People will still form opinions on how good the team is based on that. So even if you call a game an exhibition, it will still undoubtably affect the opinions of the pollsters.
Well keep the ex games in state teams. Just to give the teams a chance to work out bugs or give qbs a chance to get alittle PT. This year they could have used USL as the ex game and then put a better opp in their spot. PLUS having ex games would satisfy Bertman's hardon for playing instate schools.
NO! The only possible thing to come from that is getting a key player injured in a game that means nothing.
I say no. Especially if it raises season ticket prices for a nothing game. Then it makes you wonder if LSU wouldn't be forced to play certain in state schools.
college has for years prided itself on the "every game counts" system, meaning you lose once, it could be bye-bye. Scrimmages are all the preseason teams need
