    SEC Preview
New faces will lead the usual suspects to the top

How do you know your conference is loaded? When three different teams -- LSU, Auburn and Georgia -- have finished in the top five once in the past three seasons, and two others, Florida and Tennessee, are predicted by many to do so this year. That makes five bona fide contenders, both in the conference and nationally, in one league. You won't see that anywhere else.

I am hoping 9-2 for LSU is the lowest of results.

10-1 or 11-0 sound much better to me.

Pretty good preview and probably pretty accurate...except, wait, where's Bama listed among the elite? Mandel must be part of the conspiracy, too!

The only problem I had with the whole preview is that no team is listed at any higher than 9-2 heading into the SECCG. I figure whoever wins the West will be 10-1 and any of the big three of the East has a shot at 10-1, but less so than LSU or Auburn.

Typical barner, can't enjoy his teams own success without worrying about Bama.

Alabama fans are just as obsessed with Auburn as Auburn is with Alabama....sadly

I admit it, Marine, it is a sickness.

I'd say about 90% of the fans agree with those expectations. That's about right...but I'll worry about winning 9 or 10 games for the season if they lose 1 in the first place.

Until then, it's 13-0 or bust in my mind. :crystal:

True, but you guys now have something you share in common--a fanciful belief that you've won a national title when you really haven't.

    1973, meet 2004.

Our obsession at this juncture would be Turderssee. Auburn would not even be considered a rival game if they were not in Alabam

Why? Does Auburn kicking your ass for 3 years now take away the rivalry?
