I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. The Tigers have lost two games. I believe Mett has a lower leg issue. As mentioned by Mike on Dandy Don. His throws in the OM game were marginal at best. He did not look like he was planting his foot and setting for his throws. Hence, the interceptions.

Why not sit him for the next game with Furman. This will get Jennings some valuable playing time for next season. Also, get some of the other quarterbacks some field time. Thus, allowing Mett to rest up for the brutal November battles.

One other thing. Why the hell take Hill pretty much out of the game after the fumble? Also, mentioned by Mike on Dandy Don. He does not have a history of fumbling in games. He was about all they had going in the game that was working. Running backs are going to fumble sometimes! Geez!!!!

If Mett is hurt they should really watch and limit his playing time.

But Miles will say at the end of this game that he wanted to get Jennings out there more....blah blah blah

I see this season as a write off with at best a BCS bowl (doubtful). I think we should start prepping for spring and next season. Next season is going to be really tough with all the losses on the offense after this season. May be 2015 before we really have another shot at a great season!

If Mett can walk he's not missing a homecoming game. Even if he only plays a quarter. I would say limit his playing time but don't completely sit him unless you would sit him for any other opponent as well.

Mettenberger need to start and show himself and everyone else that he is still in control of his game. But he doesn't need to see any action after we are up by three scores. Lets see us some Jennings and Rivers in the second half.

This was the first thing I noticed after the first pick. The ball didn't seem to be moving with the same zip, and I wondered if he was having trouble stepping into his throws.

That said, I think he needs sme reps this weekend, but if we go out and do what we should do, I think he is on the bench midway into the second quarter.

Thanks guys. I can see the logic in getting Mett some reps in this game. Just to keep his rhythm for the games going. I think he should definately be rested as well after the game is in hand.

The O line needs to step it up too!

So, our fans don't want our team to mail it in for the year (or do they, so they can blame Miles for that, too?); however, some of us are ready to "write off" a season where Bama and A & M still loom in front of us? Fuck that!

I hope we see Jennings as well and he gets to throw a dozen or so passes.
