I have believed and stated that Miles deserved a raise after this season, but Skip saw it otherwise. Now it appears that Miles will be contacted about the Cowboys job, even if it never comes out, and I think that Skip needs to reevaluate his position.

Even if Skip gave Miles a raise he could not compete with Jerry Jones money wise. If comes down to a biding war for Miles services the Cowboys will win.

    Wow, Unreal?
We could lose another coach to the NFL?
Not saying its going to happen but where would we get a replacement now?
Timing is unreal if this happens since Saban jumped to Bama a month ago.
Not saying I want him now after the showman ship around the Sugar Bowl
and LSU vs Bama basketball game.

I just won't believe all this could happen in something other than a movie!

I totally agree and I am in no way saying that LSU could/would match the offer. But a raise instills confidence in a coach and at the same time makes it easier to make the choice that you really want too without feeling obligated to your family to take the big money.

Yeah, it's gotta be really hard on the family only making $1.? mil a year. A lot of sacrifice on their part, and they should pressure Les to make more.

Seriously, I too think CLM deserves more money, BUT there are incentives that kick in this year that would drastically raise his pay. Our AC's are always among the highest paid in the country, and we have wonderful facilities. I don't understand all the "Skip's a cheapskate" stuff that I read on here. He'll get his raises the old fashioned way...he'll earn them.:thumb:

That's true. I think if Miles has another great year next season he will definitely be inline for a raise. From what I'm hearing I don't think the chances are too great that he goes to the Cowboys but I could be wrong. I would never in a million years have thought Saban would go to Bama when I first heard the rumors.

I've seen the speculation from the media as well, Medtiger. Has anyone heard of something coming from those with ties to the Cowboys?

I think Miles would do well to witness what happened to satan and Spurrier when they tried the NFL. He has one of the top 5 jobs in college football right now.
