Way too many threads to check it out.....but....remember how JJ ran after the snap and fell on it to cover it up and keep Tenn from recovering......BS... had it not been for the penalty, the game would be over. He ABSOLUTELY HAD to keep the ball in play. Bad coaching or is he a real dumbass?

Ha! I was thinking of this earlier. I saw Landry Jones, following a TERRIBLE play, still have the smarts to reach out and punch the ball out of bounds, saving a sure Texas fumble recovery deep in OU territory, and likely saving a TD.

JJ doesn't have the smarts for that. There is NOTHING good that can come from jumping on the ball there. Punch it, do SOMETHING to keep the play alive. Hell, it wouldn't have mattered, as Tennessee had 13 friggin defenders to our 11, and it would've been impossible to get thru the orange shirts to the end zone even if Shep or Randle had picked it up, but falling on the ball just showed that JJ has no football IQ whatsoever. And why the hell wasn't he ready for the snap anyway?? Did he think that UT was gonna call a timeout?
