During the regular season. On the ESPN segment "Good Call Bad Call", 54 percent of the people who voted said LSU would NOT go undefeated during the regular season (which includes the SEC CG). Herby Hancock the Lovebug says that was a BAD call.
Herbie also thought it was a "Bad" call for +80% of fans that believe USC should have fallen out of Top Ten. Not shocking considering his love for the Men O Troy. But his reasoning is that they will get angry, win remaining games and get back into Top Five. Hey Herbster, that's only because the media bias kept them in the top ten.:thumb:
Wait I thought USC was supposed to get angry after only beating Washington by three and then losing the #1 AP ranking to LSU ? I guess you can be angry and lose to a 40 point underdog at home ... if you aren't really that good to begin with !
Herbie is just like all broadcasters and media. He gushes so much for USC because they have been at the top for so long. I'm sure you will hear Herbie and most of the media gush over us now. They all jump on whoever is #1 especially during the season. They want to make sure it looks like they agree with most of the nation or even that they thought it first. I know we talk about broadcasters and the media too much but I guess what still upsets me is that I don't think we got nearly enough respect for our :crystal: in 03. The reason I hate USC so much is that they never conceded that the BCS is the system we have and the winner of the BCS is the true champ. They just claimed it as fact that they were the champion and the media including Herbie supported that. Sorry about this USC tangent but when you live in Pac 10 country you get fed this USC crap night and day so I guess it's poetic justice that we get some of this love. Herbie is puttin on his Air Jordans and tuning up his Tuba.
I couldn't agree with him less on this point. The USC mystique is gone. No one else on their schedule is going to fear them now. They will probably lose 1 or 2 more games.
