So, I wore my LSU sweatshirt out and about in Knoxville today...

I've never had so many total strangers come up to me before. They all wanted to compliment the Tigers on the game last night. My wife and I were at one of the local Christian bookstores and man came up and talked with me about the game like we were old buddies. I'm telling you...these were people that didn't just read the score or see the highlights on SportsCenter...they'd watched the game. They sounded like LSU fans. I even had a lady approach me at Fuddruckers to tell me how great the Tigers played. Almost every one of them commented on how great it made them feel to see the mighty 'U' humbled to such a monumental level.

It was a great day to be an LSU Tiger fan! :geauxtige

You enjoyed one of the greatest experiences that a LSU Tigah fan could ever have!! Being in a distant city with your LSU gear on, and getting props from the locals!

I wore my LSU gear in Seoul, South Korea, during the First Gulf War back in 1991, and nobody gave me ANY props! A few hookers were nice to me, but that's about it.

all the things you just mentioned are the reasons why this win is better than a Sugar Bowl win... THIS ONE YEAR only...

When the "U" plays, people watch...

And the whole country watched them get pounded...

I bet if you compare Neilsen ratings, the Peach Bowl will blow out the Sugar Bowl

You may be right. Last year's Miami/Florida Peach Bowl had the 6th highest rating of all the bowls at 5.0... 4+ million households. What will be interesting to watch is what effect playing on the 30th had. Last year's game was played New Year's Eve.

I looked for ratings for the LSU/Miami game, but have found nothing yet.

It's always a great day to be an LSU! fan...for me, at least. Not everyone here can say that.
